Marina Casals holds a degree in Translation & Interpreting and an MA in the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Her international experience has taken her to work at Tampere University (Finland) and Al Akhawayn University (Morocco), where she held several positions (Events Manager, Head of Protocol, Associate Director for Development and Communication). She then joined the URV, where she has been Head of the Internationalization Unit and Director of International Relations.
Rebeca Tomás started to work at the URV in 2003, providing support in the preparation and management of projects. She joined the URV’s Strategic Internationalization Unit in 2005 and the International Centre in 2013. She is involved in the development and promotion of international study programmes, provides advice on international policies and global trends, collaborates on the implementation of the URV’s Strategic Internationalisation Plan, and speaks at various conferences.
Uwe Brandenburg holds a PhD from the University of Bristol in Globalisation Studies, an MscEcon from the University of Wales at Swansea and an M.A. in Islamic Sciences from the WWU Münster. He is currently the Managing Director of the Global Impact Institute in Prague and Associate Professor for Regional Cooperation and Impact of Higher Education at the University Rovira I Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. Uwe has published widely on the topic of internationalization such as the much debated article with Hans de Wit on the end of internationalization in 2011 in the Boston IHE. He was the head author and team leader for both the Erasmus Impact Study (EIS, 2014) and the follow-up EIS Regional Analysis (EIS RA, 2016), the European Voluntary Service Impact Study (2017). He frequently presents on international conferences around the globe.
Fiona Hunter is Associate Director at the Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation (CHEI) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. She is also a higher education consultant, co-editor of the Journal of Studies in International Education (JSIE), member of the International Advisory Board at the University of Granada in Spain and Past President of the European Association for International Education (EAIE). She holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Higher Education Management from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom.
Montse Martínez Ferré holds a degree in English Studies (1998) and a degree in Translation and Interpreting (2014) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She began her teaching career at UAB Idiomes in Barcelona, where she taught English in numerous fields, including at the University School of Tourism and Hotel Management. Her experience in the self-learning of languages led to her work at the URV, where she is responsible for the Language Learning Area of the URV’s Learning and Research Resource Centre (CRAI). Her interest in both languages and culture has led her to join the URV staff internationalisation team through the SUCTI project.
