Universitat Rovira i Virgili started its specialized international staff weeks in 2015 and so far it has covered:
2015: Internationalisation through courses to staff (SUCTI train the trainers)
2016: Strategic Internationalisation Planning
2017: Comprehensive Best Practices in Internationalization
These weeks have been designed to gather a motivated group of participants willing to get out of their comfort zone, discuss out of the box, share and learn from each other; and finally go back with new buzzling ideas and a positive experience both at the personal and professional levels.
We invite partners from all over the world to join us in these training weeks, to come with an open mind and an open heart and we will do our best to make it worthwhile.
This year we would like to focus on the structure and management of Internationalisation, a wide topic in which all participants will have a say.
We will ask participants to share their experience, make a short presentation on their own international office structure, functions or a challenge that they are facing.
We will find out more about the management of Internationalisation, the services that an international office should offer, strategies of Internationalisation at home, international marketing and recruitment and much, much more. Are you ready?
As a highlight of the programme, the final conference of the successful SUCTI Project (www.suctiproject.com) will show us why it is important to internationalise all non-academic staff and how we can do that.
This International Staff Training Week is conceived, as all the previous ones, as a platform for sharing best practices, concerns and solutions regarding Internationalisation. We will share URV’s experience, our successes and pitfalls and we are looking forward to learning from other participants’ experiences. Therefore, the methodology of this international staff training week will be very interactive and participatory.
We look forward to receiving you at the URV for a great international week!
