Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short, intensive programmes that promote innovative ways of learning, teaching and training for students and staff including the use of online cooperation.
During this BIP, a group of diverse practitioners from the Aurora Alliance, Higher Education Institutions and networks will undertake a short-term mobility at the Rovira i Virgili University, in Tarragona, Spain, between 11-15 March, 2024. This in-person training will be combined with a previous virtual component, facilitating collaborative online learning exchange and teamwork.
This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) contains several modules and approaches on the basic topic of Community Service-Learning (CSL).
The objective is to learn how to implement CSL methodology at universities, with local and international developed experiences and projects. During the BIP, we will also showcase the URV model of institutionalisation of CSL and invite local organisations to enrich the insights on CSL from the community perspective.
At the beginning of the workshop, participants will be given an assignment on how to design a Service Learning course at their home institutions. During the workshop, different tools will be presented to equip participants on how to develop their project, which they will present during the last day. Participants and supervisors will give their feedback to all projects presented.
