In this III Workshop on Innovation and Firm Performance, we analyse the challenges, barriers and drivers of innovative firms from a micro perspective. The many new data sources that have become available since the 1990s facilitate us in addressing the determinants and the challenges of innovation at the firm level. Additionally, a wide range of analytical frameworks including evolutionary economics, structural models, and even the theories about the internal resources of the company, allows us to address these factors from multiple perspectives.

"Global Value Chains: Spiders and Snakes", by Pol Antràs, Robert G. Ory Professor of Economics at Harvard University, is the keynote speaker.
